Galatasaray Deputy President Abdallah Kavukcu has fired back at Napoli’s skepticism about the Turkish club’s financial capacity to secure a permanent deal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen, currently on loan from Napoli, has been a revelation for Galatasaray, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in just nine appearances. His impressive performances have ignited speculation about a potential permanent move to Turkey.

However, Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna recently poured cold water on the idea, suggesting that Galatasaray lacks the financial muscle to pull off such a deal.

Kavukcu, however, has dismissed these claims, asserting Galatasaray’s ability to acquire top-tier players: “If Galatasaray wants a player, we will be at that table. Galatasaray has the power to make the right transfers at the points determined by our coach. We have the power to buy more Osimhens.”

The Turkish club’s confidence stems from their recent success in the transfer market, having secured high-profile signings like Mauro Icardi and Lucas Torreira.

Osimhen’s future remains uncertain, but Galatasaray’s determination to keep him could lead to a fierce bidding war with other interested clubs. The coming months will be crucial in determining the outcome of this transfer saga.
