Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, recently marked his 32nd birthday, sharing reflections on his life and expressing gratitude to fans and God.
The artist, celebrated for many hits, took to social media platform X on November 21 to connect with his fans and offer insights into his journey.
Despite his success and public image, Davido revealed that his path has not been entirely smooth. He noted that he has faced significant challenges, but remains thankful for his resilience and the unwavering support of his fans. In his own words, he wrote:
“Big 32 soon! Omo, God is good. Happy to be alive! My eyes don see shege! But steady my fans dey shout shekpe!”

Davido announced plans to commemorate his milestone with a generous act of philanthropy. The superstar revealed that he would be donating ₦300 million to orphanages and an organization focused on combating drug abuse among young people. He shared the news with fans on X, promising to provide more details soon.
“Once again, for my birthday this year, we are donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse & addiction. This year is N300m. Details to follow soon,” he wrote.
This act of kindness follows a similar gesture in 2021 when Davido donated ₦250 million to 292 orphanages in celebration of his 29th birthday.
