We are not aware of any killing of our member in Emohua LGA – OSPAC

The leadership of a local security outfit, OSPAC has denied knowledge of the killing of its member in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State by suspected cultists.

Reports had it that some gunmen suspected to be cultists shot and killed a member of OSPAC in the Obele community. It was also gathered that the assailants razed the house of a councilor in the area while four others sustained gunshot wounds as a result of the shooting on Wednesday night.

But the apex leadership of OSPAC through its Secretary-General, Gift Ohia told our correspondent that he was yet to receive any news of such a killing, promising to find out and get back to our correspondent.

Ohia said, “As I speak, I have not heard any news of our member being killed in Emohua LGA. If such an incident occurs, by my position, I should know but I will still find out and get back to you.”

Narrating the incident, an eyewitness who simply identified himself as Eze told newsmen on Thursday that he was at home with his brother, the said OSPAC member when suddenly the killers stormed their house and began to shoot sporadically.

Eze said, “They shot me, shot my brother. We were up to four persons they shot. We have asked the members of our community if they have seen my brother, and they said they haven’t seen him since he was shot.
