Automatic Employment for 25 Newly Inducted PAMO University Medical Doctors as Best Graduate Receives Cheque, Award

Twenty-five freshly inducted medical doctors from PAMO University of Medical Sciences (PUMS) in Rivers State received automatic employment offers upon their graduation during a ceremony held in Port Harcourt. These graduates represent the university’s second set of doctors since its inception seven years ago.

The employment announcements were made by the university’s founder and Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Peter Odili, alongside Rivers State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze Ureh, during the induction and oath-taking event on campus. The new doctors were encouraged to embrace the opportunity and become proud ambassadors of PUMS.

Dr. Tracy Mekelachi Kpasa, the best-graduating student, was awarded certificates, a cheque, and a plaque in recognition of her achievements, having earned nine distinctions across various courses, including Surgery, Family Medicine, and Pediatrics.

Now, your future is in your hands; be worthy ambassadors. We will ensure you are not jobless, and we’ll be monitoring your progress,” he said.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christie Mato, also addressed the gathering, affirming that the graduates had earned their certificates through their dedication to both learning and character. She praised Dr. Odili for his visionary commitment to establishing PUMS, noting that the students completed their six-year program on schedule.
