ASALGA indigene raises alarm over indiscriminate pasting of INEC voter’s register

By Mark Lenu

An indigene of Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, Anderson
George has alleged the indiscriminate pasting of INEC voter’s register in
Ward One, describing it as a plot to rig the forthcoming election billed
for Saturday, October 5.

Anderson said his voting unit is unit 5 but his photograph was found on the
voter’s register pasted in voting unit 8, saying it was done intentionally
to rig the election

“The INEC voter’s register sent to Ward One in Asari-Toru is fake and the register was pasted indiscriminately which has never been done in Asari-Toru before.

“This is a plot to hijack the election in ASALGA Ward One and I am warning those involved to desist from it and allow this election to be free, fair, and credible.

“From unit one to 23, all the voter’s registers were not pasted in accordance with their respective units. We therefore condemn it totally.” Anderson said.

He also said he visited other Wards in ASALGA and only in Ward One that
the voter’s register was pasted indiscriminately, alleging that the register
was fake.

The ASALGA indigene also called on relevant authorities to correct the
anomalies before the day of the election, if they don’t want the election
result of Asari-Toru Ward One to be rejected by the people.
