Kwankwaso’s Tight Schedule Causes Postponement Of NNPP Campaign Flag-Off in Rivers

In a turn of events that has sparked discussions among supporters, the Fubara Dagogo Campaign Organization has announced that the highly anticipated flag-off of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) campaign scheduled for September 21 will no longer take place as planned. The postponement, attributed to the busy schedule of the party’s national leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has left many eager supporters looking ahead with optimism rather than disappointment.

The announcement came directly from Dagogo himself, who is vying for the chairmanship of the Bonny Local Government Area in the upcoming elections on October 5. “Our leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, had a tight schedule this week and requested a new date for the mega rally,” Dagogo explained during a press briefing in Abuja. “We will announce the new date next week, and I assure our supporters that we remain committed to our goals.”

Kwankwaso’s packed itinerary, which includes recent engagements such as visiting victims of the Borno flood disaster and the upcoming governorship election in Edo State, has necessitated this delay. As a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, his presence at the rally was expected to galvanize support for all NNPP candidates in Rivers State, particularly for Dagogo and his running mate, Mrs. Kele Kabaka Brown.

The planned mega rally at Bonny Women Hall was set to be a highlight for the party, showcasing its vision and candidates. Despite the setback, Dagogo remains optimistic about the campaign’s momentum. “Bonny is already abuzz and ready to welcome our leader ahead of the election,” he said, expressing confidence in the grassroots campaign efforts that have been gaining traction.

It bears mentioning that while the campaign flag-off may be postponed, Dagogo is not waiting idly. This Saturday, he is set to unveil his campaign manifesto, titled the “Bonny Project Agenda”. This document is not merely a list of promises but a covenant with the people of Bonny, detailing his commitment to uplifting the local government area.

“We have no reason to lag behind other LGAs in Rivers State,” Dagogo proclaimed passionately. “The Bonny Project Agenda will provide our beloved people with a detailed insight into our plans to move the local government area to its rightful place.”

With his background as the former Director General of the APC State Assembly Forum (ASAF), Dagogo brings a wealth of experience to his campaign. His vision includes fostering economic development, improving infrastructure, and enhancing social services for the residents of Bonny.

As Dagogo prepares to unveil his manifesto, he assures his supporters that the NNPP is fully committed to securing victory at the polls. “We are ready for the great task ahead and assure our teeming supporters that they will place Bonny in safe hands when we emerge victorious on October 5,” he asserted.

The atmosphere in Bonny remains charged with anticipation as residents look forward to the new date for the campaign flag-off and the impactful initiatives promised in the Bonny Project Agenda.
