Adunni Ade Reveals Ramsey Nouah As Her Reason For Relocating to Nigeria From The U.S

Nollywood actress Adunni Ade recently shared her deep admiration for veteran actor Ramsey Nouah and how he played a pivotal role in her decision to move to Nigeria.

In an episode of Trending, a Hip TV program hosted by Big Brother Naija reality star Kim Oprah, Ade revealed that Nouah’s influence led her to abandon a promising modeling career in the United States and pursue acting in Nollywood.

Ade explained that her encounter with Ramsey Nouah came at a crucial time when she was considering a major life change. “He [Ramsey Nouah] was the one who gave me confirmation to move to Nigeria. I met him before I came to Nigeria, and I told him what my goals and aspirations were. And he gave me a very good pep talk, and I moved down,” she shared.

After relocating to Nigeria in 2011, Ade initially didn’t get the chance to work with Ramsey, the actor she had long admired.

Adunni Ade’s journey in Nollywood began after her move to Nigeria in 2011. She landed her first role in the Yoruba-language film You or I in 2013, marking the start of her successful career in the Nigerian film industry.

She described her excitement when, during a film festival, she crossed paths with Ramsey Nouah again. “Imagine from 2011 never getting to work with him. And this is someone you’ve always admired. Then during a film festival, I saw him, and I went to exchange pleasantries as usual.”

The following day, the actress received a surprising call from producer, Chris, a close friend of Nouah. He told her, “Adunni, what did you give Ramsey to eat? Ramsey just cast you.”

Ade said, “I had goosebumps. I was so happy to work with him on set. He is so different when he is working.”

Since then, Ade has had the privilege of working with Nouah on multiple projects. “I’ve been featured in another project with him. I cannot disclose that right now. I have seen him as Ramsey Nouah the human being, Ramsey Nouah the director, and Ramsey Nouah the co-actor. He is just a phenomenal human being.”
