Rivers State Governor, Mr. Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure projects that will have a direct and positive impact on the lives of citizens. This assurance came during an inspection tour of ongoing road projects in Opobo/Nkoro and Bori, Khana Local Government Areas, yesterday.
Notably accompanied by the Commissioner for Works, Elloka Tasie-Amadi, and Commissioner for Special Projects, Dr. Roland Obed-Whyte, Governor Fubara expressed satisfaction with the progress made on the various projects visited. He highlighted the significance of the road project linking Kalaibiama to Epellema, which will connect the previously inaccessible Epellema community to the mainland, thereby promoting development and reducing the risk of boat accidents.
It bears mentioning that the governor also reiterated his administration’s commitment to restoring Bori to its former glory as a cosmopolitan city, as envisioned by the state’s founding fathers. He assured the completion of the 13.3-kilometer internal roads project, which spans several streets in the town, within the next few months.

The people of Ogoni were also reassured of the governor’s commitment to completing the Bori internal roads project, which will bring significant relief and development to the area.
