The African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK) has announced the indefinite suspension of Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson. The suspension was due to what the club described as gross misconduct and a breach of its constitution.

AFRIMEK made the announcement on its official Instagram page over the weekend. The post read: “ADENIYI JOHNSON is hereby suspended indefinitely from the club (AFRIMEK). He has no right to portray himself as a member and is stopped from the club’s activities. This decision is borne out of gross misconduct and breach of the club’s constitution.”

Known for its roster of influential members within Nigeria’s entertainment industry, AFRIMEK’s leadership, headed by actor Femi Adebayo, took action after the actor’s alleged violation of the club’s rules. Prior to his suspension, Johnson served as AFRIMEK’s Public Relations Officer.

Adeniyi Johnson has been featured in movies such as Jagun Jagun, Gold Statue, American Playboy, Love Trap, and many more movies.

Reacting to the suspension, Adeniyi Johnson expressed his disappointment in a lengthy social media post. He urged his fans and supporters to remain calm as he worked through the situation.

In his words, “It saddens my heart that my honorable club made such a derogatory post about me. Please note that I’m not bigger than the club, but before the club, there was Adeniyi Johnson. If care is not taken, that post will do more harm than good.”

“I hereby implore my family, friends, and fans to stay calm and continue to show unwavering love and support.”

“To all associates, I remain my humble self and thank you for the continuous belief and trust. God pass us all,” he said.
