Rivers United Starlet Oscar Ozornwanfor gets Prestigious NPFL Young Player of the Season Award

Rivers United FC are delighted to announce that their young midfield sensation Oscar Ozornwanfor has won the prestigious NPFL Young Player of the Year 2023/2024 award. This League Bloggers accolade recognizes his exceptional performances throughout the season.

Ozornwanfor’s journey to this honor began with his outstanding role in the NPFL U-17 Youth League, where he was named the Most Valuable Player. His continued excellence on the field brought him into the senior team where he continued to impress. His achievements in the youth league included leading Rivers United to victory in the NPFL U-17 Youth League where they defeated Katsina United 4-2 in the final. His teammate Seiyefa Jackson also shone and became the top scorer of the tournament.

Ozornwanfor’s contribution to Rivers United’s success was celebrated at the award ceremony on July 19, 2024. His skills, dedication, and hard work not only earned him personal accolades but also underscored Rivers United’s commitment to developing young talent.
