The 2023 presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress and founder of Belemaoil Producing, Tien Jack-rich has sued for love among the ruling class in Rivers State.
The oil mogul said this amid the lingering political tension in the state which many believed is being fuelled by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Jack-rich at a birthday anniversary in Port Harcourt, attributed the political crisis in the state to a lack of love and urged the people of the state to allow the spirit of love to reign among them.
A few months after the swearing-in of Siminalayi Fubara as governor, the state has been experiencing political turmoil which had clearly shown that Fubara and Wike are not on good terms.
The misunderstanding between Fubara and Wike has led to the arsoning of some parts of the state House of Assembly as well as its subsequent demolition.
A large number of the state lawmakers loyal to Wike had passed bills into law that were unacceptable by the governor which they achieved by overriding the governor’s veto on the bills.
Local government chairmen whose tenures expired on 17th June 2024 also threw the state into chaos following their refusal to leave office as they claimed that the law provided tenure elongation for them.
While Wike is saying that his anger was because they don’t want him to be in control of his party’s structure in the state, some speculations are alleging that Fubara stopped paying him certain billions of naira from the state treasury which Wike was collecting monthly.
