Sochima Rejects New Rivers United Contract

Rivers United Shot stopper, Victor Sochima has opted not to renew his contract with Rivers United, paving the way for him to become a free agent by this month’s end. The 25 year old shot stopper who arrived from Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) side Jigawa has been so good but is always in competition with Akande Abiodun for the position between the goal post having just made under 10 appearances for the Pride of Rivers in all competitions.

Reports in the treasure base of the nation, Rivers State suggests that there is interest in Victor Sochima from a club in Tanzania.

Sochima who is valued by online Football Valuation websites as worth in the region of 20 thousand dollars.

Furthermore, there are discussions about a potential move to the money laden North Africa for the goalkeeper. Last season, Rivers United turned down an offer from Tanzanian mega giants Azam FC for Sochima. The departures of Kazie Enyinnaya and Augustine Okejepha have also been officially confirmed from the Port Harcourt club.

The changes in the team’s roster indicate a shift in dynamics and plans  for Rivers United, with key players like Kazie and Augustine moving on to new opportunities. Sochima’s decision to explore other options opens up possibilities for his future endeavors in different leagues, adding an element of anticipation to his next career move.

Its now left for Rivers United to offer him a new and improved contract proposal or cash out on him by selling him before the end of the month or prepare for life without Victor Sochima.
