Davido, the prominent Nigerian Afrobeats artist, has revealed that his fiancée Chioma’s engagement ring costs as much as three Rolls Royces. This was revealed in a brief video featuring Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, a well-known businessman, and socialite.
However, this claim about the ring’s value has stirred controversy. Reality TV personality DeeOne expressed skepticism over Davido’s statement, demanding proof of the ring’s worth.
In response to Davido, DeeOne challenged Davido to show the receipt for the ring. He said, “I don’t believe Davido’s claim that Chioma’s engagement ring is worth three Rolls Royces. I’m not saying that there are no rings worth that much, but you can’t just make such claims without evidence. Show us the receipt.”
DeeOne added, “Are you saying that the ring is more expensive than your house? Even if it was a wedding ring, two or three Rolls Royce is excessive. It’s not enough to just make grand statements; we need proof.”
In related news or climax of events, Davido seems to have quietly settled his legal dispute with Amaju Pinnick, the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), a few days before his wedding.
Previously, on October 31, 2023, Pinnick had filed a N2.3 billion breach of contract lawsuit against Davido for not performing at the 19th edition of the ‘Warri Again’ event on October 6, 2023.
To the surprise of many, Davido and Chioma were seen in a video visiting Pinnick’s home shortly after. Julie Pinnick, Amaju Pinnick’s wife, shared the video on TikTok.
In the video, she said, “David and Chioma came to our house to personally invite my family to their marriage ceremony. I was thrilled to meet Chioma for the first time; she is such a beautiful girl,”
Davido had announced two weeks prior that he and Chioma would wed on June 25 in Lagos.
