Ebuka Reveals Health Challenges and Surgeries

Nigerian media icon Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has shared that he encountered three significant health issues in 2023, which necessitated surgery.

As he looks ahead to 2024, Ebuka has expressed a strong commitment to prioritizing his physical health. In a post on his X account, he conveyed his resolve by stating, “Dealt with three health challenges in 2023, culminating in surgery by the end of the year… Looking to enhance my health in 2024.”

The Big Brother Naija host disclosed that he battled these health challenges throughout last year, ultimately undergoing surgery towards the end of 2023. Although he did not specify the exact nature of his ailments, he highlighted his ordeal and subsequent medical intervention.

In addition to his personal health updates, Ebuka recently voiced his dissatisfaction with the Super Eagles’ performance in the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches. The Nigerian national team suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Benin Republic on Monday, which sparked his criticism. Reflecting on their overall performance during the qualifiers, Ebuka lamented, “Acquiring only three points out of a possible 12 is nothing short of a catastrophe. I am still reeling from yesterday’s match,” as he shared in a tweet on Tuesday morning.

His personal health journey and determination to focus on well-being in 2024 serve as a testament to his resilience and commitment to living a healthier and better life, and at the same time, the Big Brother Naija’s Host’s view on the Super Eagles’ uninspiring results show his passion and hope for their improvement. After all, as a prominent media figure, his opinions blends widely with fans and followers who share his perspective.
