Man apologizes for E-Money’s Defamation

I did it to become popular’, man apologizes for e-money defamation

Blogger Stanley Okoruwa has publicly apologized for baseless allegations against popular businessman Emeka Okonkwo, who is also known as E-Money, and Jennifer Awele, wife of late actor Junior Pope.

The controversy started when E-Money launched a manhunt for two women and a man who claimed to have had an affair with Jennifer Awele.

The blog was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command after E-Money lodged a complaint about the offending video.

In the event, Okoruwa retracted his statement and expressed remorse for his actions, admitting that his claims were just an attempt to gain followers on his Facebook page.

“I made the video to grow my page, I had no bad intentions towards E- money,” he said.

“I didn’t know the video would go viral. I admit that making such a video is wrong and I didn’t know it would go viral.

“Everything in the video is not true, I was just trying to popularize the video and get a chance to meet with E-money money.

“… I’m so sorry, E-Money. I didn’t mean to ruin his reputation. Everything in the video is fake. I am using this medium to apologize to e-money and not to repeat this mistake again.”

Lagos State Police Commission spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin said the blogger will be prosecuted for defaming E-money in his online video.

He said that E-Money followed the proper procedure in reporting it to the police. He allegedly defamed E-Money and will be prosecuted.
