The State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development on Wednesday evening. “He’s been granted bail,” said Hundeyin when asked about Portable’s release after meeting the bail conditions.
However, Portable’s release was momentarily delayed due to the absence of a reliable surety. Hundeyin stated, “He has presented no reliable surety yet so he (Portable) is still with us.”
Video footage of Portable’s arrest has been circulating online, showing the singer attempting to evade capture before being apprehended by police officers. Despite resistance, Portable was ultimately subdued and placed in police custody.
The incident has sparked diverse reactions, with some condemning Portable for resisting arrest, while others criticize him for not honoring his financial obligations. The videos have ignited discussions about accountability and responsibility within society.
This development comes amidst Portable’s rising popularity in the music industry, with the singer recently hinting at an upcoming US tour and garnering attention for his energetic performances.
