The Leader of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force has volunteered himself to fish out the killers of a serving Divisional Police Officer, SP Bako Angbanshin in the Ahoada axis of Rivers State.
Angbanshin was ambushed and killed with his dismembered body circulated on social media by suspected cultists on Friday night.
The DPO was reported to have led his team in an operation to raid the hideouts of criminals in Ahoada East LGA of the state on the night he was killed.
Asari said, “I am ready to work with the Rivers State Government to smoke out the killers of Angbanshin and to liberate other parts of the state from the activities of vicious criminals.
“I also want to tell security agents not to attack the community where the DPO was killed because the community is also a victim of the activities of cultists.”
Some suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing of the DPO while the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara had placed an N100m bounty on the killers, including the suspension of the traditional ruler of the incident area.
