Cristiano Ronaldo of Al Nassr has been left off the Ballon d’Or 2023 shortlist for the first time in 20 years.

The award’s organizers released a list of 30 nominees on Wednesday.
One of the names absent is Cristiano Ronaldo, who departed Manchester United for the Middle East in January.

Names like Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Erling Haaland are expected to make the cut.

On October 30, the winner will be announced.
