Police arrest two with live ammunition in Delta

The Police in Delta State says it has arrested two suspected armed robbers in the Warri area of the state.

The suspects, Eddy Aboyowa and Akpani Isaiah, who both reside on Efejuku Street off Deco Road, Warri, were nabbed by the Anti-Crime Patrol team of the “A” Division.

In a statement signed the the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, the Police said thirty (30) rounds of 7.62 AK47 live ammunition from the suspects.

Edafe said, “During the patrol, the team intercepted a tricycle along Eagle roundabout by Ogunu bridge, conveying three occupants and subjected them to a search.”

He explained that it was during the search that the items were recovered from two of the passengers.

The Police PPRO noted that the suspects are in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
