NRM guber candidate Sobomabo Jackrich denies stepping down for Tonye Cole

Desmond Iwchukwu

The Governorship Candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), Sobomabo Jackrich has debunked rumours in some quarters saying that he stepped down for All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate, Architect Tonye Cole.

Sobomabo Jackrich who stated this in a statement on his official Facebook Account clarified that he is very much in the race despite receiving Tonye Cole in his office.

He said they shared ideas aimed at ensuring that if either of them emerges as governor, they would work for the benefit of all Rivers people.

He maintained that he was still very much in the race as the Governorship Candidate of NRM, while Pastor Tonye Cole also remains his party’s candidate.

Sobomabo Jackrich, therefore, urged all members of the NRM, his supporters, and all Rivers people who believe in him to keep the faith, despite intimidation, high-handed manipulations, and conspiracy to subvert the will of the people during last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly Elections.

He said that he is committed to his quest to rescue Rivers State from bad governance.
