Omoku-based NNL side, Go Round FC continued their impressive pre-season form after defeating Warri Wolves to win the Ughelli pre-season tournament in Delta State.

Go Round FC defeated Warri Wolves via penalties after the game ended one all in regulation time.

Go Round FC coach, Ngozi Elechi after the game said the side will be a team to be reckoned with in the forthcoming Nigeria National League NNL.

The team had earlier beaten Apex Krane 3-0 and Excellent FC 1-0 at the Omoku center of the tournament to qualify for the semi-final in Ughelli.

In the semi-final, Go Round FC beat Sapele Lions 1-0 to qualify for the final and set up a date against Warri Wolves.

“It was a good opportunity to test the team in match situations ahead of the league,” Elechi said after the win.

“We had a large turnover of players, so it was like starting afresh, so this win means a lot to me and to the team.

“Now we have returned to Omoku to prepare for the league proper,” He enthused.

The soft-spoken coach continued that the team is focused on the task at hand which is playing in the Nigeria National League and putting up a good shift.

He expressed optimism that the team has all it takes to return to the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL in the next football season.

Ngozi Elechi noted that the team has secured the services of young talented players who are committed and hungry for success.
