JUST IN: Court dismisses suit seeking diaqualification of PDP’s Sim Fubara

A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has dismissed a suit seeking to disqualify the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Siminalaye Fubara, from contesting the 2023 elections.

An aspirant of the PDP, Chief Morgan West, had in a suit before the court, challenged Fubara’s candidacy.

The plaintiff had alleged that Fubara was not a member of the party and did not have a valid PDP membership card, among other issues.

However, in his judgment on Friday, the presiding judge, Justice Adamu T. Mohammed, struck out the suit for incompetence and lack of jurisdiction.
