Ban on motorcycle operation still in force across Emohua LGA — Chidi Lloyd

Desmond Iwuchukwu

The chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd says the ban on motorcycle operation across the Local Government Area from 7:00pm to 7:00am is still in force.

Dr. Lloyd in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Bright Jossy-Elendu also commended the people of Emohua LGA for their peaceful disposition toward the ban.

He sympathized with the people of the area, especially residents of Ogbakiri communities for the inconveniences and hardship the order may have caused them.

He said the restriction order was necessitated by the resurgence of criminal activities in some communities in the Local Government Area and his administration cannot fold its hands to watch criminal elements take people’s lives and properties at will.

The council chairman also affirmed that there has been relative peace in the area since the restriction of motorcycle operation across Emohua LGA from 7:00pm to 7:00am became effective.

He however assured that the restriction order will be lifted once normalcy is restored in the area.
