Police begin probe into butchering of student, musician

The Abuja command of the Nigerian police are trying to unravel the mystery surrounding the killing of a singer Chop Boii alongside his producer and others in a residence in Gwarimpa Abuja.

Findings revealed that Chop Boii a.k.a. Sempe was reportedly in the house with his producer, a friend and his producer’s girlfriend when they were attacked and killed.

After the killing, it was gathered that their fingers were chopped off and their blood was used to write on the wall.

A friend who narrated the incident and pleaded anonymity said it was not Chop Boii they came for but he and his friend were in the producer’s house at the wrong time when they were killed, The Nation reports.

Reports also have it that the identity of one of the four persons brutally murdered in the apartment has been made public.

Blessing Kona Udie, a 400-level Microbiology student of the University of Cross River State, (UNICROSS) has been identified as one of the persons killed.

Blessing was said to have been in the wrong place at the wrong time when she accompanied her friends to the apartment housing a mini music studio for production.

The deceased was said to be the girlfriend of Chop Boil’s producer.

When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, DSP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident.

She told our correspondent that investigation was ongoing, adding that the outcome would be made public.

She, however, did not disclose the house in Gwarinpa where the incident occurred.
