The governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in Rivers State, Dawari George has revealed why he left the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Recall that George alongside other top-ranking members of the APC in the state had resigned from the party for various reasons ahead of the 2023 elections.
The former APC chieftain said he needed to leave the party to serve people in the state with his wealth of experience and exposure.
In a statement at the weekend, George said he did not leave the party because he had issues with anyone, or because of any hatred for the party.
According to him, “I did not leave the APC because I had issues with anyone.
“I did not also leave because I hated the party.
“But I left because it did not provide me the opportunity to deploy my wealth of experience to serve the people of Rivers State.
“One of the first things I will do as governor is to solve flash flooding issues in Port Harcourt, Make development, people-centered… I want to serve Rivers people with my wealth of experience and exposure,” he added.
