EFCC nabs 17 suspected internet fraudsters in Edo

The Economic and Financial Commission (EFCC), Benin Zonal Command says it has arrested 17 suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City, the Edo state capital.

The anti-graft agency disclosed this known via its Twitter handle on Monday.

It said the suspects were arrested at their hideout following actionable intelligence received by the Commission.

According to EFCC, the suspects were identified as “Arebu Julius, Ebiechuwa Victory Ovie, John Uwague, Edward Asuelimhen, Onyeka Sunday, Omorefe Osazee, Kelvin Emmanuel, Osamuliamen Maxwell, Osrmudiamen Aganjele, Godday Osaretin, and Osayande Osariemen.

Others are Destiny Enobokhare, Daniel Collins, Collins Edobor, Chukwuemeka Johnson, Omofuma Godpower, and Progress Edoagu.”

The commission said item recovered from the suspects include phones, laptops, and seven vehicles of different brands.

EFCC added that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
