Rivers Judges commence annual vacation

Judges in Rivers State on Monday commenced the annual vacation of the high court.

The commencement of the vacation was announced by the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Simeon Chibuzor-Amadi, who disclosed that the vacation would begin from Monday 1st August to the 13th of September 2022.

Justice Chibuzor-Amadi in a statement signed by the Chief Registrar of the high court, David Ihua-Maduenyi said the vacation is pursuant to Order 45, rule 4D of the high court of Rivers State civil procedure rules.

The statement said during the period all judicial divisions of the court shall be closed.

However, it also said that only appointed vacation judges will be in court within the period to attend to urgent matters.
