Chief Theodore Georgewill, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State and Campaign director of the party’s governorship flagbearer, Tonye Cole has resigned from the party.
This is amidst the gale of resignations flooding the party ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election in the state.
In the letter addressed to his ward chairman in Akuku Toru Local Government Area, Georgewill said his decision to leave the party was on personal grounds.
The letter reads in part, “I wish to tender my letter of resignation to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The decision to leave the party was based on personal reasons.
“Thank you for your support and cooperation.”
Recall that in the past weeks, over a dozen of top ranking members of the party has left the party over issues bordering on leadership and alleged unjust nature of the party.
