Sim Fubara, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, for the 2023 election in Rivers State has nominated former Commissioner for Education, Ngozi Nma Odu, as his running mate.
The nomination was announced on Tuesday.
Odu was a Permanent Secretary of Rivers State Ministry of Health and was commissioner for Education from 2003 to 2007.
She hails from Obite community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area.
Fubara will face other top candidates including Tonye Cole, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Dumo Lulu-Briggs, candidate of the Action Democratic Congress for the state’s top job.
