Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has announced Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as his running mate.
He was unveiled at the PDP headquarters in Abuja on Thursday ahead of the 2023 Elections.
Okowa, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, and Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom state were those selected for the position of Atiku’s running mate.
However, after the selected met with the party’s screening panel on Thursday, Okowa emerged.
Speaking during the unveiling, the former Vice President said his running mate must be able to speak his mind freely and ready to work with him at all times.
Atiku said the decision of his “running mate was a difficult decision, but I’m not afraid to take such decisions.”
