2023: APC mocks Wike as Atiku wins PDP presidential ticket

Brave Dickson

The All Progressives Congress in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State has mocked Governor Nyesom Wike for losing to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who clinched the 2023 PDP presidential ticket at the just concluded primary.

APC said Wike’s failure justified the cries and sufferings of Rivers civil servants and pensioners who have not been paid by Wike.

Speaking with our correspondent, one of the frontline APC leaders in the LGA, Ajasin Vincent said, “we have been saying it that Wike does not have the moral justification to be the president of Nigeria.

“Look at how he (Wike) was boasting on television interview that Nigerians should congratulate him because he has already won the presidential primary and this was before the commencement of the primary.

“Wike should come home and fix Rivers State well before thinking of becoming a president.

“If he (Wike) could make pensioners and civil servants to wear black clothes on Workers Day (May 1st) in protest of their unpaid pensions and gratuities, it means the entire country’s civil service will be in pains if Wike becomes president.

“Look at human capacity development under Wike’s administration, it is obvious to score him zero.

“Till date, Wike has not implement the new minimum wage. Yet he takes pleasure in wasting Rivers money out there for political reasons.

“Such a man like Wike is not qualified to be the president of Nigeria and shouldn’t be allowed to lead this country.”
