Wike plotting attack on SCID to pin it on Dagogo – Aide

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has been accused of plotting to attack the State Criminal Intelligence Department of the police command to implicate the detained lawmaker, Farah Dagogo.

Dagogo was arrested last week over allegations he sponsored thugs to disrupt the screening of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP State and National Assembly aspirants for 2023 elections.

Ibrahim Lawal, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Dagogo in a statement said Wike and his Camp Commandant, Efeturi Irikefe are plotting to attack the SCID to pin it on Dagogo.

The statement read in part: “This is to notify the world that the Rivers State Governor, Barr. Nyesom Wike and his Camp Commandant, Efeturi Irikefe are unrelenting in their vain attempt to pin criminal charges on Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo, Member representing Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency and Governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State. We received from source that Governor Wike and his Camp Commandant, Efeturi Irikefe, will stop at nothing to put Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo in perpetual detention and they have already manufactured more charges of murder, kidnap, armed robbery, illegal bunkering and attacks on security agencies among other trump up charges to be hung on the neck of the Governorship hopeful.

“Having seen their initial trump up charges flopped spectacularly and the unending backlash the Governor and his government are receiving, the Rivers State Governor and his goons, chiefly his Camp Commandant, Efeturi Irikefe, are hatching an attack on the State Criminal Investigation Department where Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo is being illegally held and accused the Federal Lawmaker of being the mastermind all in a desperate move to change the narrative.

“The Rivers State Government, under Barr. Nyesom Wike, is also planning to either harm or arrest or execute both on the families of Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo, his staff, particularly his aides and others close to the Federal Lawmaker.

“All these moves by the Rivers State Government is to continue the unlawful and illegal incarceration of the Federal Lawmaker.

“For the umpteenth time, our earlier position stands, Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo’s life is still in danger. This time, with that of his families, close friends, associates and his staff, particularly his aides. Governor Nyesom Wike and his goons should be held responsible if any thing untoward happens to Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo and others listed above.

“Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo is fully aware of the massive show of love and solidarity from members of the public, and he is emphatically grateful and humbled.

“As a responsible law abiding citizen, the Federal Lawmaker lawyers have already written to the various security formation in the State, notifying them of the latest devious means of the Governor of Rivers State and his Camp Commandant.

“All these are intimidation, political persecution and executive rascality by the Governor of Rivers State with the aid of his Camp Commandant to frustrate Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo out of the Governorship race” .
