The Anti-Cult Unit of Delta State Police Command says it has arrested four suspects following an intelligence report that a group of suspected cultists and armed robbers were lodge at Eloke Hotel in Issele Azagba area of the state.

It was gathered that the intelligence report had disclosed that the location of the arrest has always been their meeting point before embarking on operations.

The security operatives also gathered that the syndicate always monitored to know if the police were closing up on them and that whenever they suspect anything, they would throw their guns from the window of the hotel and run away.

Confirming the arrest, the spokesman for the State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe in a statement, said the Police operatives in a planned operation, raided the said hideouts and arrested four suspects identified as Ogbuokwu Trust, Augustine Solomon, Edebatu Gideon, and Kingsley Okolie.

Edafe said two locally made cut-to-size guns and four live cartridges were recovered during the raid.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, while commending the efforts of the officers and men also urged them to continue to be on their toes, and go after all criminal elements in the State with a view to making the State unbearable for them.
