Abe joins Rivers APC guber ticket race

A former Senator representing Rivers South-East senatorial district in the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, has officially declared his interest to contest the 2023 governorship election in Rivers State.

Abe, who disclosed this on Saturday during the inauguration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Vanguard for Ward 4, 5 and 6 in the Gokana local government area of the State, said he would contest on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Abe joins other 11 governorship aspirants who will contest the APC governorship ticket during the party’s primaries slated for May 27 2022.

Speaking on his ambition, Abe said he would support anyone who emerges APC gubernatorial candidate in a free, fair and equitable contest.

Abe added that anything short of a free, fair and equitable contest would not be accepted.
