Police recover lady’s corpse in Delta hotel, arrest manager

The Delta State Police Command says it has recovered the corpse of a lady from a hotel room in the Ozoro, Isoko Local Government Area of the state.

The Spokesperson for Command in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Asaba, the State capital.

According to the statement, the victim was not beheaded as being reported in some quarters.

Edafe said, “the victim’s arms and legs were tied, but no part of her body was severed.”

It was gathered that the lifeless body of the deceased, identified as Adegor Sophia, was found inside a room at the Palms Hotel Resorts, Ozoro, on Tuesday.

It was learnt that the hotel management had reported the case to the police after her corpse was discovered.

The hotel manager, who reported the incident alongside the workers on duty, were also said to have been detained by the police.

Meanwhile, the corpse of the deceased was said to have been removed and deposited in the morgue of a hospital in the area.
