Wike lacks pedigree to be president – Nwauju

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has said that Governor Nyesom Wike lacks the capacity to run for the office of the president in 2023.

Wike had on Sunday, in Makurdi, Benue State, announced that he would be joining the race to Aso Rock in the 2023 presidential elections.

In his declaration, the governor had called on the party faithful to support him in wrestling power from the ruling APC.

Reacting to the declaration, the State Deputy Publicity Secretary of the Party, Darlington Nwauju, said Wike’s entry into the race will give the APC a smooth sail to victory.

According to him, Wike lacks the pedigree to be president of the country.

Governor Wike’s declaration adds him to the race with other hopefuls including former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Governor of Nigeria, Peter Obi, Chief Dele Momodu among others.
