A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Senator Andrew Uchendu has reacted to the declaration of Governor Nyesom Wike to contest the 2023 presidential election.
Uchendu, while speaking to journalists on Monday, commended Governor, Wike for declaring his intention to contest.
The senator described him as bold and courageous, noting that anyone who attempts to govern the country should be commended.
Wike had declared his intention to run for the presidential seat in Aso Rock during a consultation visit to Benue state.
The governor, who is contesting under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said if elected, his administration’s priority would be to tackle the insecurity in the country and engender rule of law
He also urged party members to support his ambition of wresting power from the APC, adding that he is the right man for the job.
