Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has debunked claims linking him to the contest of the presidential seat in the 2023 general elections in the country.
Amaechi disclosed that he is yet to receive calls encouraging him to contest for the seat at the Aso Rock in the presidential elections.
The minister, who spoke during an interview with Channels Television, at the Eagle Square, Abuja on Saturday, said becoming president required a lot of consultation.
He noted that for him to run for president, he must consult those very dear to him, which he had not done.
The former Rivers governor while speaking on the challenges bedevilling the All Progressives Congress (APC) said they are surmountable, as they are merely due to different interests.
Reports have it that Amaechi’s presidential campaign posters were seen at various points at the Eagle Square in Abuja, where the National Convention of the All Progressive Congress was held.
