A Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt will today, deliver judgment on a matter against the former state Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Isaac Ogbobula.
The matter which was brought before the court by one Ogechi Ogwu-Edwin and three other members of the party is seeking an interlocutory injunction against the APC and its former Caretaker Committee Chairman over the conduct of congresses in Rivers State.
The claimants are also praying the court to stop APC from doing anything concerning Congress over its alleged refusal to grant them (claimants) access to nomination forms after making payments.
Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Simeon Amadi had reassigned the case to Justice C.N Wali, after a petition was levied against the former judge handling the matter, Justice I.R Minakiri.
The court, presided over by Justice Wali had adjourned the matter till Thursday, March 24 for judgment after counsels representing the parties argued and adopted their final written addresses.
Following the judgment by the court, it will be determined if members of Chief Emeka Beke-led excos will make the list of delegates to participate in the Saturday APC convention in Abuja or if the party will conduct fresh congresses in the state.
