Northerners call on Wike to fix bad roads in Port Harcourt

Brave Dickson

Some Northerners in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital have called on Governor Nyesom Wike to fix the bad roads in some parts of the city.

The Northeners under the aegis of the Northern Peace Ambassadors Initiative maintained that the bad roads are mainly found within the Northern community in Port Harcourt.

The Secretary-General of the group in charge of South-South and South-East, Aliyu Abdulhamid told our correspondent that the bad roads are affecting their businesses.

According to him, “Hospital Road, Niger Street, Bendel Street as well as Bonny Street are in bad shape.

“Our businesses are slow as vehicles find it difficult to freely access these areas mainly dominated by Northerners.”

Abdulhamid further hailed the governor on most of the roads he fixed at the old Port Harcourt Township during his first tenure and urged him to try fix others before leaving office next year.
