12 corps members to repeat service in Edo

No fewer than 12 corps members posted to Edo State for the 2021 Batch ‘A’ Stream 1 have been sanctioned by the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) for different offences.

Speaking at the passing-out ceremony of the 2021 batch ‘A’ Stream 1 corps members, the State NYSC Coordinator, Abiodun Olubukola said some members would be remobilised to start the one year service afresh for various offences.

According to her, “The 12 Corp members who are to repeat the service absconded from their primary assignment. They will repeat the service in another location.”

The coordinator, however, congratulated corp members who successfully completed their service year and advised them to remain steadfast in putting into practice vocational skills they acquired during their service year, as the skills were focused on ensuring their capability to live a meaningful and productive life.

Olubukola advised them to make concerted efforts to be productive and become owners of enterprises as well as employers of labour.

She said the scheme has proven to be highly effective considering the contributions of the corps members to different sectors of the economy including agriculture, health, rural infrastructure development among others.
