The Nigeria Cricket Federation NCF will meet in Abuja, the Nigerian Capital from December 17-18 to discuss the 2022 Cricket calendar.
The NCF will also during the meeting review the activities of the national teams at different international competitions and ways to improve on their performance.
The President of Nigeria Cricket Federation NCF Uyi Akpata said this during a one-day working visit to the Abuja Office of the Cricket Governing body in Nigeria.
Uyi Akpata also during the visit inspected the level of readiness of the ongoing second turf Cricket Oval at the National Stadium Abuja.
The President of NCF during the inspection tour expressed satisfaction at the job done thus far and the condition of the pitches especially the playing surface and the outfield.
He also visited some members of the national team undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) clinic in Abuja.
” I am very pleased with the conditions of the pitches here in Abuja, a lot of work has gone into this in the last 2 years and some work still needs to be done especially with the sitting areas and pavilion but overall, we are almost ready and plans are in place to make this a complete functional facility ahead of activities in 2022, he said.”
However, changes in structures and approach on the new outlook on the workforce of the Federation continues as the President is looking to prime everyone ahead of what can be described as a very exciting and events-packed 2021 cricket season in Nigeria.
