Special Assistant on Special Duties to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Mr Ossai Ovie, has asked Davido to donate the money he received from friends to charity.
The afro-pop star had shared his account details on his verified Twitter and Instagram handles, challenging his friends to send him money to clear his Rolls Royce from the port.
In reaction to the number of alerts the singer received, Ossai took to his Facebook page to advise the FEM crooner to donate the money to charity.
According to him, the money should not be used to clear the vehicle but to help many people who are suffering.
He wrote, “Davido should donate the over N100m he has gotten to charity instead of using it to clear his Rolls Royce.
“A lot of people are suffering out there.”
Davido had received over 140 million naira from friends, fans and colleagues on Wednesday.
