Popular Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, on Wednesday received over N100m after he requested money from his friends and fans.
The afro-pop star had shared his account details on his verified Twitter handle and Instagram asking his friends to send him money to clear his Rolls Royce from the port.
“If you know I’ve given you a hit song, send me money, Una know your selves oh.
“I wan clear my Rolls Royce from port abeg.”
In a few minutes, the 30BG leader got over N26m from friends.
Giving updates on his Instagram stories, the singer has so received N142m at the time of writing this report.
Celebrities like Obi Cubana, Charles of Play, Cubana Chiefpriest, Adekunle Gold, Chike, Mr Eazi, Nengi, Zlatan Ibile, Teni, Naira Marley, M.I, Phyno, Eniola Badmus, Nasboi, Sydney Talker, and Peruzzi were among the donors.
Singer, MC Galaxy, sent him N3m while Oba Elegushi sent N5m to the singer.
Reactions have since trailed online as some said Davido deserves more for how he helps everyone around him.
However, some fans have criticised those donating money to the celebrity, while others have since asked Davido to donate the money to charity.
