It is no longer news that one of Nigeria’s most popular singing shows, Nigerian Idol, is here for its seventh edition.
It was announced by Multichoice Nigeria that the two weeks audition exercise began on Sunday, November 14 and would end on November 28, 2021.
Multichouce has rolled out instructions for the auditions, which will be held online for the preliminary stage.
Interested contestants for this year’s edition of the singing contest are advised to upload a 60 second video of them singing any song of their choice to www.africamagic.tv/nigerianidol.
Interested contestants are also advised to note the eligibility age before applying for the show as the Nigerian Idol only auditions contestants from age 16-30.
Recall that four months ago, Kingdom Kroseide emerged as the Nigerian Idol season 6 winner on July 11, 2021.
While announcing the new season, the executive head, content and West Africa channels at Multichoice Nigeria, Busola Tejumola said, “Multichoice remains committed to promoting and giving young music talents in Nigeria a platform to shine and actualize their dreams. Season seven promises to be even bigger and more entertaining. So if you believe you have what it takes to be the next Nigerian Idol, be a part of the auditions starting November 14.”
The show will start airing on DStv and GOtv channels by February 2022.
