Lulu-Briggs Foundation holds free legal clinic in Port Harcourt

The O.B Lulu-Briggs Foundation has urged residents of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital and the general public to participate in its free law clinic slated to hold on Friday.

A statement released by the Foundation said the programme was initiated to provide free legal counsel to citizens from lawyers in line with the organization’s commitment to promoting social justice, inclusivity and the rule of law in Nigeria.

It added that since 2001, the Foundation has remained consistent in implementing sustainable interventions that will enhance the quality of life of under-served persons in peri-urban and rural communities across and beyond the nation’s Niger Delta region.

The programme, which is part of the Foundation’s year-long 20th Anniversary Celebration, will cover Family and Matrimonial Law; Domestic Violence; Will and Inheritance Rights; Landlord and Tenant Law and Pension Law.

Other areas are Workers Compensation, Road Traffic, Consumer and Criminal Law.

Activities are set to commence by 10 am at La Sien Pavilion Royale, 22 Forces Avenue, Old GRA, Port Harcourt.
