EFCC question Obi Cubana over alleged fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has invited famous businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, aka Obi Cubana, for questioning over alleged money laundering and tax fraud.

Obi arrived at the EFCC headquarters in the Jabi area of Abuja at about noon on Monday, where operatives of the commission questioned him.

According to reports, allegations against the socialite border across alleged money laundering and tax fraud.

Obi had dominated social media in July after his mother’s burial in Afor Uzo, Oba town in Anambra State, in which he received over 200 cows from friends and well-wishers.

The EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said he has yet to be briefed on the development.
