Janemena sues Tonto Dikeh, demands apology, N500m as Dikeh fires back

Dancer and social media influencer, Usiwo Orezimena Jane popularly known as Janemena, has petitioned the Nigeria Police against actress Tonto Dikeh over claims of cyberstalking and criminal defamation of her character.

Recall that there had been a slight drama between Tonto Dikeh and her ex-boyfriend, Joseph Egbri, also known as Prince Kpokpogri over the infidelity of the latter.

Tonto in a post shared on social media had alleged that Kpokpogri, is in possession of Janemena’s old and recent sex tapes.

According to her, “After listening to these leaked voice notes between JOSEPH EGBRI(fake name Prince kpokpogri) and merit, I personally called my relationship off with a man I honestly did LOVE.

“Now, this is not enough for blackmail and lies but it’s all good and great.
Respectfully, All we are asking is come answer to the law for your illegal recording and release of my private moments (A CRIME) that happened months back before I actually respectfully ended this relationship, extortion(A CRIME), blackmail(A CRIME) amongst other things alleged about you.

“This may be a good time to say @janemena this man has so much of your sex tapes with him in his possession(old and very recent)
Not just you but A lot of other married women, Celebrities and single girls too..
If he hasn’t blackmailed any of you yet it’s a matter of time!!

“My darling JOSEPH EGBRI it will only be fair enough you allow the law operate..
If these are made Up allegations you need not fear, FOR A CLEAN HEART FEAR NOTHING..
Am not hurt, not mad, just DONE..
I wish you would too

“You can’t be the one blackmailing me, releasing my private chat with friends, bugging my phone and still be the one in trauma..

“Wish you all the very best, But you need to stop running and face the consequences of your actions.”

However, Janemena, in reply to these allegations, filed a petition against the actress.

The petition, which was written on her behalf by her solicitors, Rockson Igelige, of Felix, Igelige & Associates, described Tonto’s claims as damaging.

It read in part, “These malicious publications and in the context in which it was made, meant and Janemena understood it to mean the following amongst other things:

Janemena who is a married woman had and is still having an amorous or sexual relationship with Prince Kpokpogri (referred to in the publications as Joseph Egbri) who is not Jamena’s husband.
2. Janemena is cheating on her lawful husband.
3. Janemena has sex tapes.
4. Janemena distributes sex tapes.
5. Janemena’s sex tapes (old and very recent ones) are in possession of PRINCE KPOKPOGRI (Joseph Egbri) with which he will use to blackmail our client any moment from now.”

The petition explained that publications made by Tonto Dikeh have brought “Janemena to public ridicule, odium, and opprobrium in the comity of Isoko women, her business associates, friends, members of her family.”

Janemena in her petition demanded an immediate retraction of the publications by Tonto Dikeh on her social media handles and a publication of the retraction in four national dailies in Nigeria.

The dancer also requested that the actress tenders an unreserved apology to her and pay the sum of Five Hundred Million Naira (N500,000,000) as exemplary damages for the malicious publications.

Janemena’s lawyer further warned that legal action will be taken against Tonto Dikeh if she fails to meet the demands within one month of receiving the petition.

Meanwhile, Tonto Dikeh has reacted to the petition filed against her.

Reacting to the petition, Tonto said there is a sex tape and that Janemena cannot be begging her to help save her marriage and then still file a petition as she noted her readiness to meet the dancer in court.
