Nigerian soldiers assault veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu in Anambra

Men of the Nigerian Army on Thursday assaulted veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu for wearing a Biafran flag customized outfit in the Upper Iweka axis in Onitsha, Anambra State.

In a video making the rounds on social media, the actor, who was spotted with his car that had an inscription “Chiwetalu Films” was seen surrounded by about 4 soldiers.

It was gathered that the actor was accosted while he was buying bread within the rea.

According to an eyewitness, Agu’s car was searched by the security operatives, who shot sporadically into the air to disperse the crowd as they whisked the actor away in their vehicle.

“The actor, who stopped to buy bread was approached by a crowd of people who cheered him on as he shared bread to them.

“In the process, he was stopped by the military men, who whisked him away like a thief,” he said.
