Asari Dokubo is a cowardly terrorist turned political thug who should be in jail If Nigeria was working

Jones Onwuasonya

For a man whose hands are red with the blood of many innocent Niger-Deltans mulled down by his bullets and those of his gang of hooligans who terrorized Rivers State and most part of the Niger-Delta in the guise of fighting for resource control and so-called Niger-Delta Republic, Asari should have eternally hid his face in shame or gone into eternal penitence, if he still had the slightest modicum of shame or conscience.

But, for the billions he made from the blood of the innocent youths he deceived into wasting their lives with the belief that he was fighting for the good of the Niger-Delta region, Asari is restless and broke, and he is struggling to regain some relevance, and disparaging Ndigbo and the Southeast seem to be his best card. But, he can be assured, that might be his death card.

For the information of the half-educated Lilliputian, the Southeast is only poor in land mass, but richly endowed with everything required for us to be self-sufficient. Our land is the most blessed and naturally nourished land in Nigeria. We do not boast with our oil deposits alone, because we have numerous valuable natural minerals, on our lands. It is probably only the soils of Ala Igbo that you could plant anything, just about anything, and you would be sure it reaping bountiful fruits at harvest time.

It is only a man barren in the brain like Asari Dokubo that would attempt to describe the Southeast as a barren land. I know that he knows the truth, but obviously, for a man who has squandered the billions of Naira he gained by spilling the blood of his innocent brothers and siblings and through oil bunkering, I can sympathize with his desperation to announce his readiness to anyone or group of people who are ready to employ him as a political thug to sabotage against the Southeast and Igbo interest.

It is not out of place to suspect that Asari, who is notorious for engaging in criminal violence against his people might be partly responsible for the atrocious destruction and killings in the Southeast, as he is known to have found a new business in hiring hoodlums for election purposes and it won’t be far-fetched that his boys could have been hired by those who have determined to make the Southeast ungovernable. I assure him and his sponsors that they will fail woefully.

If Nigeria wasn’t a country known for rewarding terrorists with unwarranted amnesty and pampering criminals, Asari Dokubo should have either been forgotten in one prison yard if he is lucky or sent to the great beyond by the Law to meet with the many innocent people he killed. Unfortunately, he is today deluding himself as an opinion moulder and maybe an ‘activist’?
